The Human Condition

In confusion... we as men scurry to find answers
involved in the "wanton" struggle towards perfection
by all means do we seek to find what we cannot

In confusion...we strive to know who our accusers may be
suspicions drive hoards of questions to plague the mind of peoples near and far
the stampede grows more, while waving the flag of our pride..."ONWARDS!"

In confusion...we seek to bare no shame
hold to no reason to believe we are accused
forget the past and masks we wore to dance beneath the mud

In confusion...we are children, arrogant, ignorant and soft
baring malice to those who we love; but in our eyes "offend"
scheming mind games; to whom may lose and whom may win

In this season, we're more lost than found
murdering the only thing that held us in such times
the trust that so easily betrays us...
because we've never truly trusted

That is the human condition.
