Simplistic

The lessons of life are told within the simplest of language
the construction of straights and curves
speaking only to the principle at hand

it is not the verbose collection of adjectivals’ or antecedents
rather in the fluent construct of imagination and potent words

painted imagery in the mind of the orator
fragmented speech, gains volumes of knowledge

framed in peasantries, clad in simplicity
the mouth of wisdom shapes plainly in sight

the life we live is simple
but it's the curiosity of understanding that clouds our judgment

the system rolls onward
while lessons go unlearnt

that is the complexity amidst our simplicity
