Breath gave life to words
As that breath escaped me
Sailed with the wind to rest upon a still sea
That sea
that spoke to me
A sea that sailors wished to sail
To course the wind to find their trail
They passed on shores and walked the tide
Seeking
entrance for that ride
This sea, this sea that spoke to me
If life were only fair
This sea would see the best of me
If only it were near
Breath gave life to words
As that breath escaped me
Sailed with the wind to rest upon a still sea
That sea
that spoke to me
We wondered why the grass was green
And why the wind was never seen
We wondered why we screamed and shout
And why the blood ran from our mouth
The wind was never crystal clear
That's why its there for all to hear
The grass that's green can cast a doubt
Try ridding science of whitened clout
Breath gave life to words
As that breath escaped me
Sailed with the wind to rest upon a still sea
That sea
that spoke to me
He clasped his hands and said a prayer
His rattled thoughts spewed hopeless fear
His knuckles
white and eyes shut tight
He wished she didn't come that night
They played a game the dead of night
The room too bright, took off the light
And now they layed their his thoughts blue
A few days
after "boy is that true?"
Breath gave life to words
As that breath escaped me
Sailed with the wind to rest upon a still sea
That sea
that spoke to me
