Found standing! Staring into the distance of a calm river
I hear the sound of “new” as the sun kisses the sea
so gently.
The waves roll over forming beds in the sea,
and the fishes depart with the hope of welcoming
two beings.
For all is well within but not without your scent that fills the wind;
that musk that reminds me that you’re in tune
with my soul.
I look to your palms for a safe place, as we
advance to a space where we have no control.
As nothing withers and nothing fades
but all is us and we are all.
Melting days into nights in a sweet embrace
eternity is ours.
Still! We must neither slumber nor dim the lights to pray,
instead watch the wind so it does not part us.
And part we mustn’t as the wind stills,
we still shall be kissing gently
like the sun to the sea.
